Stage one finds us on the mean streets of Metro City. I am currently playing on normal difficulty.
I decide to play as guy first, we get 5 life's and 5 continues to beat the games 6 stages. So now we have met our 4 characters its time to hit the streets! We also meet a mysterious new fighter named Dean who has a vendetta against the Skull Cross gang. Our female character is a police officer from the special crimes unit named Lucia who's move list is very similar to Chun Lis kick attacks from Street Fighter 2. Mayor Hagger's old friend Guy has returned from Martial arts training just in time to help clean up the streets. In the original Final Fight our heroes fought against the Mad Gear gang who had captured mayor Hagger's Daughter.Īs our adventure begins we find out this new Skull Cross gang has started a riot on the streets of Metro City. The story of the game involves a new criminal organisation on the streets of Metro City called The Skull Cross Gang. Its also worth mentioning that these sprite based 16 bit games have aged much better than PlayStation one's 3d titles which were coming out around the same time. I think the sprite based graphics are some of the best I have seen from a 16 bit game, they look almost as good as an arcade cabinet of the same era. The Western version was released in 1996 towards the end of Super Nintendo's life cycle. The game was originally released in Japan in 1995 and was titled Final Fight Tough.
